HobbyBoss 1/48th Scale Me 262 A-1b Review and finished model

This kit was one of the best Me 262 kits I have seen. It has an incredible amount of interior detail, amazing panel lines, and a good range of optional parts such as experimental missiles on the underside of the wings. The kit cost me around 50 dollars and I have to say, money well spent on this. My only concern is the insert for the wheels. Its a bit of a loose fit and it ended up at a slight angle. But nothing too noticeable

The model fit really well except for one panel on the fuselage which was a bit of a loose fit so i put some putty on the corners and glued it in place. the small tubes on the bottom appear to be booster rockets from the little research I did. This model was a prototype testing a new engine and was never put into combat. I decided to take matters into my own hands and weather it in a sort of "what if" scenario if it had made it to mass production. The wheel wells are nicely detailed and so are the engines. I used one of the recommended paint schemes and had a little freedom with it since, like I said earlier, it was never mass produced. I personally like the paint chipping effect even though I over did it. This is one of the models I'm most proud of . I wanted to build the model to show its 30mm cannons in the front. Over all, well worth the money if you want an accurate and detailed kit. Hope you enjoyed.
